Motos

Moto Guzzi is one of the most coveted bikes in Italy and is the Harley Davidson for Italians.

Here's a couple old school shots:

Vespa

This is my type of Vespa!

Sunday Night

Just chillin' in Piazza Maggiore at a little cafè......

Foods in Italy

Here's a very small sample of some foods ;)

For those of you that know me, you know how much I love my Espresso and how much I used to drink!! One of my goals on my journey was to go on an espresso detox, which in Africa definitely helped as Espresso was pretty scarce to find - among other things :) After 2.5 months (which included my first 2 weeks in Italy), my Espresso "detox" was broken in mid-March :(

But there's nothing like the ESPRESSSSSSO here in Italy!!! I've actually been very good, with only one a day or one every few days. Don't know what's harder for my will power though - the espresso or the sweets. The Cannoli and Nutella filled Cornetti are sooooooo sooooooo GOOOOODDD!!!! And I'm sure as the weather warms up the Gelato will be tasting good too!!

P.S. Wow that's a big frying pan!!!

Bologna

I'm currently in Bologna (Italia) where I've been since early March.

Here are some shots of the city. Some of the city highlights are:
- Sala Borsa
- Basilica di San Petronio
- Due Torri (2 Towers)
- Fontana del Pincio (staircase)
- Piazza Maggiore (main Piazza of Bologna - with the big clock in the corner building)
- Fontana del Nettuno
- Cattedrale di San Pietro

Vienna - Day 3

The final day :(

It sucks when you can only see family for a short amount of time, but it was such a spontaneous visit that it seemed surreal. What an AMAZING couple of days we had!!

Georgie & Micky only had a few hours in the morning before they were on the road again back to Germany for their next concert that night. So we did a quick breakfast and went to one of the major attractions in Vienna - Schloss Schönbrunn (Schönbrunn Castle). It's a Palace where the Austrian Monarchy lived through the centuries. The Palace was gorgeous. We took a tour, but no photos allowed on the inside. On our way out of the Castle, they had a little Easter market and we had a Knoodle dish and tried Glühwein (mulled wine) that is a very common drink in the winter season, especially on COLD COLD days....sooo good!!

In the afternoon I spent the day touring around and trying out some different Viennetian/German food. I had the absolute BEST street meat ever in my life from a little Kebab vendor on a side street. Soooo sooooo GOOD!!!! My last meal before catching the train was an authentic Schnitzel dish.....OMG how was I ever going to finish that!!!
