Vienna - Day 3

The final day :(

It sucks when you can only see family for a short amount of time, but it was such a spontaneous visit that it seemed surreal. What an AMAZING couple of days we had!!

Georgie & Micky only had a few hours in the morning before they were on the road again back to Germany for their next concert that night. So we did a quick breakfast and went to one of the major attractions in Vienna - Schloss Schönbrunn (Schönbrunn Castle). It's a Palace where the Austrian Monarchy lived through the centuries. The Palace was gorgeous. We took a tour, but no photos allowed on the inside. On our way out of the Castle, they had a little Easter market and we had a Knoodle dish and tried Glühwein (mulled wine) that is a very common drink in the winter season, especially on COLD COLD days....sooo good!!

In the afternoon I spent the day touring around and trying out some different Viennetian/German food. I had the absolute BEST street meat ever in my life from a little Kebab vendor on a side street. Soooo sooooo GOOD!!!! My last meal before catching the train was an authentic Schnitzel dish.....OMG how was I ever going to finish that!!!
